The Frederick Chamber of Commerce has launched a new initiative, Frederick Strong. It grew out of a desire to unite the Frederick County community during the Covid-19 crisis and has evolved into “a community rallying cry, a call to action to rebuild our economy, a call to action to put our neighbors back to work, to care for each other’s health and safety, and most importantly, in this unique moment in time, to heed the words of one of the organizers of the Frederick March for Justice, Amiyah Spencer, when she reminds us all of the important and continuing imperative to create a world free of racial discrimination.”
Seton Center Outreach and Seton Family Store are proud to take part in this initiative. We believe together we are stronger. As a leading resource in Northern Frederick County for emergency support services and skills-development, our mission is to be a catalyst for systemic change and to create a sustainable, vibrant, healthy community. Through the Frederick Strong initiative, we hope to bring awareness of our services, as well as open new collaborative efforts with other community business, nonprofits, and other organizations. Northern Frederick County has the highest number of people living in poverty. With the help of our entire community, we can bring about positive change.
