Community Bridges Out of Poverty Training
January 22, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
64% of those who attended the Bridges to Sustainable Communities Symposium at Mount St. Mary’s University in October expressed interest in receiving more training and/or supporting Getting Ahead groups throughout Frederick County. To support our next steps in this initiative, Seton Center is offering a free, one-day Community Bridges Out of Poverty Training, facilitated by our Bridges Trainer Kelly Overholtzer.
Here are some resources to help attendees prepare for this training:
1. This training is a prerequisite to taking the Getting Ahead facilitator training. To find out more about those steps, you can go to https://www.ahaprocess.com/workshop/getting-ahead-facilitator.
2. If you’d like to access a free study guide that will be used to create the training, follow this link, http://ahaprocess.staging.wpengine.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/Study-Guide-Bridges-Out-of-Poverty.pdf.
3. If you have time, it is recommended to read and become familiar with “Bridges Out of Poverty”. You can purchase the book from Aha!Process at https://www.ahaprocess.com/store/bridges-out-of-poverty-book.
We look forward to sharing the day with you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Kelly Overholtzer at 301.447.6102 x 17 or [email protected].
